The building's facade is made of prefabricated “sandwich” type units which include a load-bearing element, insulation and exterior cladding. The vertical elements hold the upper floor slabs. The horizontal elements have no load-bearing function.

The pattern on the facade is based on computer language, the repetition of the digits 0 1 0 1 0 in binary code. It took 32 different modules to put together the facade's 334 pieces. These elements were laid as building work progressed at the rate of one to two deliveries per week.
The cladding elements are anthracite grey and are acid-treated. Their negatively treated joints serve to reinforce the monolithic aspect of the elements.
